Activities for the whole family

Join us on a journey through railway history and enjoy an unforgettable summer experience with your family. The summer holidays at the Danish Railway Museum are packed with exciting activities where you can listen to presentations about the museum's large turntable, the iconic red express train and the impressive Schleswig royal carriage from 1854. All activities are included in the entrance fee and the museum is open every day from 9:00 to 17:00.

Get a ride on the miniature train

Both children and adults can look forward to a fun ride at children's height with our popular miniature train. The train departs every day from 9.15am to 4.30pm and the journey lasts approximately 5 minutes.

Talks around the museum

Dive into history and learn about the museum's large turntable, the iconic red express train and the special story behind the Schleswig Royal Carriage from 1854. The talks take about 15 minutes and are conducted in Danish and English.

Food and drink

The Food Stall in the museum café is open every day from 10:00 to 15:30 and serves light snacks and sandwiches. You are also welcome to bring your own food and beverages. There are indoor and outdoor areas where you can enjoy your own food and beverages.

Save 20 DKK per adult ticket by purchasing it online through our webshop. Children and young people (0-17 years) always have free admission. Please note that the ticket page is in Danish.

The Danish Railway Museum is centrally located in Odense and is easily accessible by public transport. There is paid parking close to the museum.
