Experience the history of Denmark’s railways when you step inside the Danish Railway Museum, situated in an authentic engine-shed from 1954.
Take a look inside the royal carriages, experience travelling third class and see Denmark’s oldest preserved steam engine from 1868.
You may enter many of the Museum’s engines and carriages. You can sit on the old wooden seats or stand in the driver’s cab of a steam locomotive. Many of our visitors spend 2–3 hours with us.
Visit our child-sized Children’s Railway Station or the play area which provides ample opportunity for children of all ages to play with trains and tracks. We also offer a large outdoor play area where children can explore. Do make sure that you go for a ride on our popular mini-train which runs every day, either indoors or outdoors.
All activities are free once you have paid the entrance fee.
